Qing Dynasty-B&W Chrysanthemum
Plate
Originated from a piece of beautiful
deep cobalt blue chrysanthemum plate alternating with four pairs
of identifiable conch shells on the center medallion. This is a
very common design during early Qing dynasty, Qianlong Period (
1736-1796). A similiar design also inherit to Jiaching period (
1796-1821) but the chrysanthemum drawing become more simplified
and the colour of the cobalt blue is more lighther. .
