A
black glaze jarlet from Cizhou area or some Henan kilns that being
produced for SEA market during Sung dynasty. The rather thick viscous,
black glaze covers the external wall, stopping short near to the
concave base, revealing original firing red at the unglaze base.
The buff colour glaze at mouth edge and upper foot rim shown another
authentic sign of this Song artifact. Except for a firing defect
at one side of the body (see photo for clear detail) and a chip
at mouth rim, the overall condition is very good. No restoration
and hairline. Excavation artifact.
