Temmoku Tea Bowl#1
Nicely
potted Chinese Sung Dynasty (AD960-1279) tea bowl, well known as
Tianmu tea bowl. Tianmu tea bowl was originated from Tianmu mountain,
China during Sung Dynasty and used by monk for tea drinking. It
was introduced into Japanese culture by merchants and monks in the
same period, also named as Temmoku. The firing flaw and other irregularities
is normal and a good sign of its authenticity. The foot is unglazed
and intact with beautiful coral remain. Authentic shipwreck item.
