- 15th Century Longquan Celadon cup with soft jade green glaze over
an impressed lotus flower decoration. Yuan/Ming bowls often have
an impressed mark, a flower or other patterns in cavetto. These
marks are often unclear because of the thick, rich glaze. Firing
red can also be seen at the unglazed baseg. Longuan, the name of
the village that first made this glaze means "dragon fountain",
a beautiful, mysterious name of for this beautiful, mysterious ware.
Perfect Condition (The celadon cupl has suffered no damage since
