Another gorgeous
Jizhou stoneware with oilsplash tortoishell effect vase of Song/Yuan
period in the shape of TAN-PIN vase.
This beautiful vase
has visible glaze effect inside the mouth rim, extended from the
neck to quite rounding body but stop short near to foot rim where
some glaze pooling form. Maron colour glaze formed at the edge of
meeting point between amber glaze and brown glaze. The disperse
white glaze in fact form naturally on the transparent amber glaze
which made this oil splash vessel very unique and lovely collectible
piece.
Slightly mat glaze
but overall glaze condition very good. A few tiny chip at foot rim
with a firing defect (a small tiny hole) at the body cause by impurity
clay being used. No other chip, hairline and restoration.
This is extremely
rare gem that you can find in this condition nowaday !!!
