A
very nice example of mid Ming, Hongzhi period (AD1488-1505) folk
ware in stem cup form. Decorated with 4 cobalt blue sanskrit words
at external and one at the center of the cup.
Vibrant
glaze remain except for the unglaze base where it expose nature
biscuit colour. Th cup has been joined at the foot rim where shown
minimal glaze fritting for this 500 years old artefacts.
Except for the age fritting and
"flea bite" at the edge of the rim, there is one visible
short firing red at center (see photos). Close to superb condition.
No others chip and restoration.
