Yuan Sky Blue Glaze Jun Yao Plate

An impressive Yuan dynasty crackle blueish glaze Junyao (zhun yao) plate with glaze variation effect from mouth rim toward the inner center of the bowl due to glaze thickness during firing.

The bubble is visible at the glaze surface where the size increase especially where there is glaze pooling. The glaze stop short near to unglaze wedge-shape footrim with natural orangy firing red.

We only clean the plate at room temperature tab water.Hence the dirt trap within the bubbles still visible from the photos taken.

I would said this plate has remained in very good condition that no chip, hairline and restoration noted. 1 very short scratches line and a small sand noted on glaze surface near to bowl rim. Yet, the entire plate still a gorgeous collection artefact!!!
